Jake Owen Goes 'YeeHaw' On GMA August 2nd

NASHVILLE, TN (Jake Owen Official Website) - With the release of his debut album, Startin' With Me now less than a week away, RCA Records newcomer Jake Owen has been tapped to perform his hit single, 'Yee Haw,' on ABC's Good Morning America on August 2.

Anticipating his appearance, Jake said, 'I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Being in front of those cameras that are tapped in to all the TV's across the country, waiting for me to tell my little story pretty quickly without tripping all over myself? Yea I'm a little nervous.'

Jake also reflected back a few short years to his days playing at Potbelly's bar in Tallahassee. 'I remember that bar stool and the smell of that bar, the smell when I was alone setting up, when everybody was there and beer was flowin'- I remember the smell of it. And looking back, no way did I think that two years later I'd be singing on Good Morning America and I'd have an album coming out. It's incredible.

In addition to a cross-country radio tour to promote his album, Jake is spending the summer on The Road & The Radio tour, opening for Kenny Chesney on one of the hottest concert tours of the year. Upcoming tour stops include Hartford, CT on July 27, Bristow, VA on July 28 and 29 and Pittsburgh on July 30.
Startin' With Me, Jake's debut album, will be released July 25.
