Nashville, TN (Billy Yates Official Website/ www.billyyates.com) - The European CMA announced this morning, the final nominations for it's annual awards presentation held each year in Spain. Receiving four nods for Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year and Vocal Collaboration of the Year was Nashville-based singer/songwriter, Billy Yates. The former Columbia Records recording artists and Grammy-nominated songwriter set out on his own five years ago to form his own M.O.D. (my own damn) Record Label. With the focus of that label being to promote and market his music all across Europe, and after well over 100 shows there during the past two years, these nominations are very exciting and rewarding to Yates. "I've worked very hard over the past few years to take my kind of country music to nearly every Country in Europe and the UK. I've seen the crowds become larger and younger. I want so badly to see country music become even more popular there and have vowed to do my part to see that come to fruition. I think the future is very bright there", says Yates. "These nominations are proof that if you work hard and stay focused, you can see and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Whether I win or not, I'm really thrilled to have so many nominations after only two years of touring there. I plan to be touring there ten years from now". This year's awards presentation will be held on July 8th where the winners will be announced at a gala ceremony/party in the beautiful city of Palafrugell, Costa Brava, Spain. Watch for Yates latest CD, "Favorites" to be released in July in conjunction with his extensive European, UK tour there that month.
