Marietta, GA (www.patsymcglamrydean.com) - Patsy McGlamry-Dean - a country, folk, easy-listening, pop, jazz and blues singer and songwriter from Marietta, GA, will release her brand new single "When This Night Is Over" on May 20. The country song is to be released in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and public and college radio in the USA. "I really loved Patsy's song and I can't wait to play it on radio," Doug Weedon, a DJ at AIR/FM 100.7 in Australia writes. "She could hold her own with our yodelers Down Under--will show listeners that independent artists are as good or better than the ones with big contracts."

Patsy was raised in Moultrie, Georgia. Her father - a Scot-Irish worker at a meat packing plant - listened to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio every weekend, providing Patsy's initial exposure to music. Years later, as a teen, she started taking piano lessons. While in college at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Patsy sang in musicals and acted in dramas. She wrote her first song in a room she rented in the YMCA on Lexington Ave and it was in New York that she saw her first real guitar.

Influenced by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Patsy Cline, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Jim Reeves, Joe Cocker, Ritchie Havens and Roger Whitaker, Patsy started taking guitar lessons and shortly after she was already playing guitar and singing in New York night clubs. "I loved writing songs, singing, yodeling, whistling , playing guitar and harmonica from day one, literally," she remembers. After several years in New York she moved back to Moultrie and formed an all-girl trio singing folk, easy-listening and country.

"Fall is my favorite time of year," Patsy reveals her romantic nature. "I write most of my songs in the fall and winter months. I get my inspiration from a warm fire and the longleaf yellow pines outside my bedroom window." She laughs, "not to mention lots of chocolate and coffee." Currently, Patsy's music is playing in Austria, Sweden, France, Norway, Australia, and New Zealand. She has released twelve singles and two albums. "Come Back, Angel" reached the number three position on the European Country Music Association chart, while "Don't Let It Be Today" did equally spectacular, climbing to number four on the same chart.

Patsy lives in Marietta, GA with her husband Raymond Dean, who she shares her passion for music with: Raymond is a songwriter himself; in fact - he wrote both "Come Back, Angel" and "Don't Let It Be Today" for Patsy. Together they run their own record label McGlamry-Dean Records. "I'm really fortunate to be able to do what I've always loved - writing and playing music," Patsy says. "The responses have been wonderful." Indeed, many DJ-s and music writers around the world have welcomed her releases more than enthusiastically. "It's always great to hear Patsy's voice and songs. Another big step into the music business," Austrian publisher and DJ Pete Lenloy sums it all up.
