BURBANK, CA (Warner Bros. Records) - Louder Now, the highly-anticipated new album from Taking Back Sunday on Warner Bros. Records, debuted today in the United States at Number 2 on Billboard Magazine's Album Charts scanning over 157,000 units.
The epochal quintet's first new album since 2004's Where You Want To Be, contains the group's new single "MakeDamnSure," as well as standouts "What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?," "Liar" and "Spin."

With Louder Now, Taking Back Sunday's Adam Lazzara (vocals), Fred Mascherino (Guitar/Vocals), Eddie Reyes (Guitar), Matt Rubano (Bass) and Mark O'Connell (Drums), capture the intensity generated during their explosive live performances. Early praises in Kerrang! not only declare Louder Now as a "mammoth rock beast of an album," but go on to hail it as "the best of 2006 so far, and one that will give your goosebumps goosebumps." Alternative Press called the album "one of the most anticipated albums of 2006," and the band is featured on the cover of the June issue, currently on stands.

MySpace.com recently selected Taking Back Sunday as the first band to launch its new performance based show called The List (www.myspace.com/thelist). The video for their single, "MakeDamnSure," is currently in Elite 8 rotation on MTV2 and is in rotation on MTV. It debuted with an all day "Unleashed" premiere on MTV2, and had a Triple Channel Leak on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU week of April 17th. On May 1st, Taking Back Sunday was the featured band on MTV's "10 Spot Drop." "MakeDamnSure" premiered on Fuse's "Daily Download" and is in heavy rotation on the channel. The band perfomed a "7th Ave Drop" at Fuse's Studios last week and was live on "Daily Download" the day of release. Fuse is currently running a "LOADED" featuring the band's entire video catalogue. Last night, the band performed "MakeDamnSure" on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and will appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Friday, May 12th. Taking Back Sunday will play the KROQ Weenie Roast in Los Angeles on May 13th.

Taking Back Sunday will kick off their second U.S. tour on June 22nd in Jackson, NJ and will tour Europe, Asia and Australia later this year.
