ATLANTA, GA (ADA CREATIVE COMMUNICATIONS) - The Sunset Jazz Festival at Southland will kick off an exciting evening of smooth jazz from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, May 20, at Southland Country Club (5726 Southland Drive) in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

The concert's featured performer is Grammy award-winning artist Sonny Emory with appearances by Eric Essix and Najuma featuring the Kermit Walker Trio. Emory, best known for his groundbreaking drumming with Earth, Wind and Fire, has performed with a virtual "who's who" in pop and jazz music including Stanley Clarke, David Sanborn, Bette Midler, Al Jarreau, Paula Abdul, Jean-Luc Ponty and Boz Scaggs. Emory now leads his own ultra funky progressive aggregation, State of the Art formerly known as Hypnofunk. Guitarist virtuoso Eric Essix's compositions have earned him accolades, including a top 10 smooth jazz radio single, the classic 'Rainy Night in Georgia.' Vocalist Najuma has excited audiences across Atlanta with her unique fusion of R&B, jazz and African rhythms.

Tickets for the Sunset Jazz Festival are $10 - lawn seating (bring your own lawn chair, general seating); $20 - reserved lawn (chairs provided, general seating); and $40 - VIP (includes table seating and a complimentary buffet and wine bar).
