(Launch) - The Grateful Dead's prodigious vault has opened again for not one but two releases from different periods of the group's career. "Dick's Picks, Volume 22" is drawn from two concerts held Feb. 23 and 24, 1968, at the Kings Beach Bowl bowling alley in Lake Tahoe, Calif. The original Dead lineup was in the midst of making the "Anthem of the Sun" album when it performed those shows, and several songs from the album - "Alligator," "That's It For The Other One" and "New Potato Caboose" - were previewed during the shows, along with early renditions of "Dark Star," "The Eleven" and "China Cat Sunflower."
