NASHVILLE, TN (Prairie Home Companion) - Brad Paisley made his first appearance on A Prairie Home Companion hosted by Garrison Keillor this past Saturday, April 8. The show was broadcast live from the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN. He performed 'The Cigar Song,' 'Make a Mistake With Me,' 'I'm Gonna Miss Her' and 'Alcohol' acoustically and also sat in with the house band (Guy's All-Star Shoe Band) on several songs. Earlier in the week Brad was thrilled when Keillor called him to ask him to participate in one of his skits – he was even more thrilled when during the rehearsal he realized the skit was titled 'Guy Noir with Brad Paisley.'

A Prairie Home Companion is in its 30th year of production. Live every Saturday night from 5:00 – 7:00pm CT on APM (American Public Media) stations and Sirius Satellite Radio – it features comedy sketches, music and Garrison Keillor's signature monologue, 'The News from Lake Wobegon.' The April 8 show is now available at https://prairiehome.publicradio.org .

Paisley's current single, 'The World,' has been his fastest rising chart single in his career. After just four weeks it sits at No 19 on the Billboard Singles Chart and No 18 on R&R's Country Top 50.
