NASHVILLE, TN (Phil Vassar Official Website) - Country singer-songwriter Phil Vassar's new video for his current single 'Last Day Of My Life' will begin airing this week on CMT and GAC. The video will makes its debut this Thursday, May 30 on CMT and begins airing on GAC this Saturday, April 1. The single, which is flying up the charts, was inspired by the death of Vassar's longtime friend and fellow songwriter Robert Byrne and has been crafted into a touching love song about making the most of our lives and appreciating the ones we love. The video, directed by Roman White and produced by Randy Brewer, was shot in Nashville. Using a green screen for the shoot, animation was added to create a fantasy world where Phil performs the song and interacts with a love interest. The result is a unique almost dreamlike world where being with a loved one is the only thing that matters. 'Last Day Of My Life' is one of three new songs included in Vassar's Greatest Hits Volume 1 on Arista Nashville and in stores on May 2. Also included in the package are many of Vassar's biggest singles - "In A Real Love," "Six Pack Summer," "Just Another Day In Paradise" and "Carlene" as well as five hits previously recorded by other artists but written by Vassar including 'Bye, Bye,' 'My Next Thirty Years' and 'I'm Alright,' among others. Vassar can be currently seen judging this season's Nashville Star where he joins fellow judge Anastasia Brown and co-hosts Wynonna Judd and Cowboy Troy. Nashville Star airs on the USA Network on Tuesdays at 10/9C.
