Nashville, TN (Jack Ingram Official Website) - Texas native Jack Ingram has been one of his home state's favorite sons for quite some time now. His debut Big Machine Records single, 'Wherever You Are,' has introduced him to a vast national audience which is discovering what his Texas fans have always known: Jack Ingram is a star.

The ascent of 'Wherever You Are' into Top 10 on the Radio &Records chart is a long-time-coming affirmation of the singer/songwriter's talent, work ethic and charisma. Jack's road warrior state-of-mind has served him well since he began writing songs while studying psychology at SMU. His enthusiasm for meeting every fan who waits in line after each concert has garnered Jack a loyal and ever-expanding legion of believers. Jack loves making music and it shows in everything he does.

'I'm very excited about 'Wherever You Are' making it to the Top 10 on the country chart,' says Jack. 'When I say that I'm excited I mean, really excited! You know, like Christmas morning excited. Like you just got your driver's license excited. You know, no big deal but...I'm excited!!!'

In addition to radio programmers, another big believer in Jack is USA Today, which selected him for its highly-coveted 'On the Verge' feature in the publication last week. And nine-time Grammy Award-winner Sheryl Crow has chosen Jack to be the sole opener on her forthcoming tour. He'll perform a 40-minute concert with his legendary Beat-up Ford Band. The tour will kick off in Indianapolis on June 12 and will make stops in Dallas, Atlanta, Austin, Memphis, Minneapolis and many other cities.
It's good to know Jack!
