Country Radio Gets Bomshel

NASHVILLE, TN. (Bomshel Official Website) - Kristy O. and Buffy Lawson, country duo Bomshel, are currently in the midst of a whirlwind radio tour which began back on February 27th. During the past four weeks they've wowed, wooed and won over more than 70 country radio stations in close to 60 cities helping to make their debut single 'It Was an Absolutely Finger Lickin' Grits & Chicken Country Music Love Song,' the No 4 most added song at country radio. There's no question that the infectious music and free spirited energy of Bomshel has arrived.

Singer Buffy Lawson and fiery fiddler Kristy O. are a dynamic duo determined to make remarkable music while having a great time in the process. The duo is no stranger to the Nashville music scene having performed for the last year at the famous Tootsies Orchard Lounge to a crowd of adorning fans, before being signed by Curb Records. Now the girls have hit the road to take on what has become their biggest supporter - radio. Stopping for special acoustic performances at country radio stations in Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, etc., Bomshel has taken program directors and on-air personalities on an explosive adventure.

'We are taken back by the support we have been receiving on this tour,' says Kristy. 'It's touching to see the range of emotions our songs have bought out in these radio programmers.' 'But there's nothing like seeing their faces when Kristy jumps up onto their conference room table and starts playing,' adds Buffy.

'We have enjoyed breaking our show down to the bare roots. Playing in a conference room at 7am is much different than playing for our fans at Tootise's,' says Kristy. 'But no matter the setting I still seem to get my bow stuck in Buffy's hair from time to time.'

Bomshel's first single, 'It Was an Absolutely Finger Lickin' Grits & Chicken Country Music Love Song,' might be a mouthful to say, but this high spirited song is the real deal. Co-written by Buffy, the song will have you tapping your feet and moving in your seat as you experience the excitement of a country girl in the diverse city of Hollywood.
