NASHVILLE, TN (Alan Jackson Official Website) - From what began as a wonderful Christmas gift for his mother, Alan Jackson's ACR/Arista Nashville gospel collection, Precious Memories, has become an acclaimed album, a history-making chart success, and now an intimate concert and family event for television. On March 23, Great American Country (GAC) premieres Precious Memories, an hour-long special based on the album and filmed at Jackson's sold-out 2006 concert at the Mother Church of Country Music, Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. In addition to performances of gospel classics from the new album, the program also features exclusive interviews with Jackson and his family, including his wife and daughters, as well as his mother and mother-in-law, both of whom provided inspiration behind the new disc.
Fans can see the premiere episode at 8 PM ET on March 23, with subsequent airings announced as follows (all times ET): March 23 – 11 PM, March 24 – 7 PM, March 25 – 9 PM & midnight, and March 26 – 10 AM & 5 PM.

A personal album released only following encouragement from Jackson's family, friends, and record label, Precious Memories made history in its first week, selling more than 107,000 copies and becoming the first gospel recording to debut at No 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Jackson also became the first country artist in history to debut an album of all-spiritual material at No 1 on the Top Christian Albums and the Top Christian & Gospel Albums charts and the first artist ever to top all three charts at once.
