
NASHVILLE, TN (Grand Ole Opry Official Website) - The Grand Ole Opry presented by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store has announced the next show in its Signature Shows Series, Women of Country, set for Sat., March 18. Loretta Lynn, Lorrie Morgan, Carrie Underwood, and
Lee Ann Womack are among the women of country to appear on the show. From the Coal Miner's Daughter to the 2005 American Idol, women will be taking the Opry stage to pay homage to country's all-time great female artists and to perform their own current chart-topping hits. One hour of the show will air live on 'Grand Ole Opry Live' on Great American Country (GAC) at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is partnering with the Opry for this special evening and will be on site with information available in the Opry House lobby. An online auction hosted by www.opry.com will benefit the Komen Foundation beginning Tues., March 14. Items to be included in the auction include an Epiphone guitar autographed by the ladies on the Women of Country Signature Show, an autographed commemorative Women of Country Hatch Show Print, and front row tickets to the April 15 Opry featuring Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and more.
