NASHVILLE, TN. (Johnny Rodes Official Website) - The kick-off concert for the Johnny Rodes Outlaw Band's 150-city 'Tour for a Cure' will be held on April 14, 2006 at the Electric Ballroom in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Johnny Rodes Outlaw Band, Back Rodes Productions and Eternity Entertainment are teaming up to bring country music buffs a taste of Johnny's music while raising money for cancer research.

Johnny Rodes, an independent country artist, is billed as the 'next greatest thing to come out of Nashville' by a National Syndicated Radio talk show. Johnny's music is all country and his hit Tell Me Why is a thought-provoking look into the world of cancer fighters who ask themselves 'why' they have been diagnosed with the disease.

Although Johnny's image is tough, he is really a softie at heart, especially when it comes to children and animals. 'Tour for a Cure' is specifically aimed at raising money for cancer research. $1.00 of every CD sold and 20% of all other merchandise and ticket sales will be donated to Cancer Treatment Research Foundation and Cancer Sucks. Johnny said 'One of the beauties of being an independent artist is that I can decide which charities I want to be involved with…I want the freedom to be able to donate to charities that are doing something to fight cancer.'
Johnny Rodes has been nominated for Best Practices in Global Health Award for his work with his charities and children.
