Little Big Town Tapped To Open For John Mellencamp

NASHVILLE, TN (www.littlebigtown.com) - Equity Music Group recording artists Little Big Town have been tapped as the opening act for John Mellencamp's spring tour in March and April, beginning March 30th in Evansville, Indiana. For all tour dates and venues, please visit www.littlebigtown.com.

'All of us are long-time Mellencamp fans,' said Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet. 'We know almost all of his songs by heart. We'll probably refrain from breaking into �Little Pink Houses' on this particular tour, however.'

The announcement of the tour comes on the heels of Little Big Town's enormously successful performance at last week's New Faces Show during the annual Country Radio Seminar. During that same week, the four-member band also literally made headlines when a profile written by Peter Cooper appeared on the front page of the Tennessean on February 17th.

Little Big Town recently scored a Top 10 hit with 'Boondocks,' the first single from their Equity CD, The Road To Here. The new single from that album, 'Bring It On Home,' is quickly becoming a fan favorite and is already in the Top 50 of the singles charts after only a couple of weeks. The music video for the new song was a Hot Shot debut on CMT at the same time the video for 'Boondocks' was No 1 on their Top 20 Countdown.
