Nashville, TN (Jeff Bates Official Website) - Country crooner, Jeff Bates opened the Country Radio Seminar's New Faces show on Friday night with an energetic performance featuring his sultry voice and shaking hips, making it hard to believe that he had just broken his tailbone the previous day. Bates, who was injured in a fall outside the Renaissance Hotel, mustered the stamina to perform the twenty-minute set and make it look effortless. Bates' dynamic performance included a medley of his hits - 'Long, Slow Kisses,' 'I Wanna Make You Cry' and 'The Love Song,' as well as selections from his upcoming release Leave The Light On, including the rockin' 'That'll Get You Ten,' the Billy 'Crash' Craddock classic 'Rub It In' and his new single 'No Shame.' Leave The Light On will be released on RCA Records April 11. The 12-track collection focuses on the good things that happen when people open up to each other. Bates, who co-wrote several tracks on the album, was looking for emotional songs that talk about truly connecting, especially in love. Working with co-producers Kenny Beard and Blake Chancey, Bates crafted an album that looks at relationships from all levels.
