Board has allocated $25,000 from its scholarship fund to endow a scholarship in perpetuity for the broadcast program at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), in the name of the Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. The check was presented on Thursday, February 16th, 2006 at the opening ceremonies of the 37th Annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS-37).

Scholarship Committee Chair Bill Mayne said Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. is proud to present this scholarship endowment to MTSU, College of Mass Communications. The result will be an annual scholarship awarded to a radio broadcasting student. Our organizational mission is Œgrowth through sharing¹ in education for the industry and this scholarship continues our tradition. CRB, Inc. has been providing scholarships for over thirty five years. CRB, Inc. and MTSU have a long standing relationship with many student volunteers at our annual seminar and many of our Board Members, present and past, are MTSU alumni. We know first hand of the benefit of MTSU¹s educational benefits to our industry and are proud to support the students of this program.

Paul Allen, Associate Professor of MTSU Department of Recording Industry and a former CRB, Inc. Executive Director and Board Member, said, "Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. has a 37-year history of educating students of the radio industry. I'm grateful that MTSU has become one of the recipients of the hundreds of thousands of dollars it has given over these many years to support education."

It is truly a great testament to the Country Radio Broadcasters¹ mission to help educate professionals for decades to come. I was pleased to see such good support from CRB for MTSU."

The $1,125 annual scholarship will be awarded beginning in the 2007-08 academic year to a student majoring in electronic media communication.
