Nashville, TN (Toby Keith Fans Website) - Scotty Emerick, Rebecca Lynn Howard and Sarah Johns opened last night's Sioux City, IA stop of Toby Keith's Big Throwdown Tour II, and the reaction was what you'd expect for three artists hand picked by country's most visible superstar. All three are looking to being signed to Keith's Show Dog Nashville label and they're already priming the country audience by performing in the opening slot of the standing-room-only tour. They will continue on the bill, each performing their own two songs in the opening 20 minutes of the concert. "It has been an incredible year for me and starting Show Dog was a highlight for sure," says headliner, label president and, oh yeah, country singer Toby Keith. "The best part of having your own label is letting the world know about some wonderful talent. "Last night Sarah Johns, Rebecca Lynn Howard and of course Scotty Emerick opened my show for the first time. It was all Show Dog. They were great and it was the best response I have seen an audience give my opening acts." Attendees at next week's Country Radio Seminar will have a chance to see the three up close as they perform at Show Dog's CRS bash, the Toby Keith & Company Guitar Pull on Feb. 15. Supporting fledgling artists in this new tour structure is one of many synergies afforded Keith as he becomes the flagship artist of his own label. Keith's latest single "Get Drunk And Be Somebody" is roaring up the charts in advance of his upcoming White Trash With Money album, his first on Show Dog, set for an April 11 release.
