Amazingly, Buck is ready to share his songs just a couple of months after Giddyup! was released on CD to national acclaim (it's been charting on Billboard's top 25 internet sales list since November, and has won a Dove Family Approved seal and acclaim from Common Sense Media, among others). Giddyup! was also selected this week by the American Library Association for its prestigious "Notable Recordings of 2006" list.
By going to Buck's website (www.buckhowdy.com), fans can download copies of 10 songs from Giddyup! as well as graphics for the special version.
There is no cost for the downloads but as Buck explains, there is one itty bitty catch. 'You have to promise to share my music with at least two people (and those people have to promise to share it with more people and on and on) because I convinced Mrs. Howdy that once folks hear these ten songs, they'll rush out and buy the full length store version with ALL the songs.'
Mrs. Howdy thinks Buck has gone plum loco, and he's worried he might be sleeping in the barn sometime soon. But he is betting that the 'Pass the Buck' campaign will create a constantly multiplying awareness of Buck's all-ages music.
Giddyup! features an engaging mix of Western, bluegrass and country style tunes. The seven original Buck Howdy songs and seven other tracks appeal to kids of all ages. Guest stars Trout Fishing in America and Laurie Berkner join for three of the sing-alongs.

About Buck Howdy
Buck Howdy is no Johnny-come-lately to children's music. In fact, he's been singing his special brand of Western music for kids for nearly 20 years in concerts and classrooms. His impressive performances have included two shows at the White House (with a third upcoming) and one at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He continues to perform at interesting places around the country, delighting audiences of all ages with his down-home personality and inviting voice. He has appeared three times on the holiday music television special, 'Carols By Candlelight.' He also hosts a nationally syndicated Cow Pie Radio show where he performs and plays the best of family music each week.

Buck was born wearing a cowboy hat and boots longer ago than he likes to admit. He was raised on his family's ranch in Grants Pass, Oregon. Between going to school and doing chores, like feeding 100 head of Black Angus cattle, Buck taught himself to play guitar. And though the ranch was sold long ago, Buck has never stopped playing. Matter of fact, he's never stopped doing chores either. Only now he does them on his own farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. If ever there was a true singing cowboy, Buck Howdy is it.
