Steve Azar Releases First Christmas Single And Video

Nashville, TN (Steve Azar official website) -– Country music star Steve Azar is releasing his first Christmas single to radio today on his new record label, Dang Records. "Catfish Christmas," a Cajun-style tune co-written by Azar and producer/songwriter Rafe Van Hoy takes you directly to the Mississippi Delta with Azar's signature sound as he delivers a unique take for spreading holiday cheer.

"This song was created initially from the annual catfish fry we would have for family and friends during the holidays," explains Azar. "We recorded the song and turned it into an official invitation with artwork and everything and we'd send it out each year for the annual fry. We figured this year, why not share this life experience with everyone, thus the spawning of the Catfish Christmas tradition."

The fun new video for "Catfish Christmas" was recently filmed just outside of Nashville at a small pond and features Jim McMahon, former quarterback for the Chicago Bears, Cat Cora, Food Network's Iron Chef and Terry Ahola, a U.S. team championship snow skier.
