Nashville, TN (Steve Azar Official Website) - Country music star Steve Azar made his way back to the classroom recently, but this time for a great cause. Azar, along with acclaimed songwriter/teacher and Kid Pan Alley founder, Paul Reisler spent the better half of the day in a songwriting session with two fourth grade classrooms at Nashville's Fairview Elementary School on Monday, November 7.

Kid Pan Alley is a unique program that brings the process of writing, arranging and recording songs into the classroom, while celebrating the voices of children by involving them as creators and not just consumers of music. Steve and the fourth graders came up with two songs, "Summer School Blues" and "Love's The Game That Changed The World."

Select songs will be recorded by various artists including Azar and then placed on an album. A CD release concert is planned for 2006. Proceeds from sales of the CD go to local music enrichment programs throughout Williamson County schools.
Next, Azar is headed to the Big Apple for the CMA awards and to promote his first Christmas single called "Catfish Christmas" that hits radio November 28.
