Nashville, TN (Trace Adkins Official Website) - Country giant Trace Adkins has a key role in a Veterans Day special to be aired on more than 300 radio stations across the country this weekend. Adkins joins Faith Hill, Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith, Craig Morgan, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Billy Ray Cyrus and many others in "Bob Kingsley Salutes America's Veterans," a two-hour special hosted by Kingsley, the longtime host/producer of "American Country Countdown."

Adkins delivers a history of Arlington National Cemetery and is heard singing his powerful hit single, "Arlington," which deals with the final resting place of a quarter of a million of America's veterans.

"We were thrilled to have Trace's participation in this special," says Kingsley. "His one-of-a-kind baritone is as effective in voice-over work as it is in song, and 'Arlington' is without a doubt one of the most inspirational songs of the last decade."

The special honors the roles of America's veterans in gaining and protecting American freedom over the past two centuries. It features music with patriotic and military themes, from Ray Charles' version of "America The Beautiful" to Toby Keith's "American Soldier." It includes reminiscences from those who have served the country and those who have used their talent to entertain and support troops. It also features segments focusing on the histories of the various armed services, the stories behind patriotic songs from "The Star-Spangled Banner" and "Yankee Doodle," and information for veterans concerning benefits available through the Veterans Administration. The special will air this coming weekend on many stations, including those that normally carry "American Country Countdown with Bob Kingsley."

Adkins will be part of another Veterans Day event when he performs "Arlington" and the National Anthem at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum's Annual Veterans Day Celebration in New York.

Adkins' current single "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" is rapidly climbing the charts and could become one of his biggest hits to date. It's the third single from his latest CD Songs About Me that has remained among the Top Country Albums since its release in March.
