NASHVILLE,TN (CMT) - CMT announced today a multi-faceted campaign in support of "The 39th Annual CMA Awards" and the show's first ever broadcast from New York City's Madison Square Garden on November 15. CMT will launch an unprecedented 37 hours of related specials and premieres over a two-week period surrounding the awards, with heavy promotional support across the network's multiple platforms, including CMT.com and CMT Radio Networks.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 7, CMT will kick off 37 hours of CMA-related programming, beginning with a special CMA STACKED featuring the five videos nominated for 2005 CMA Music Video of the Year. On Tuesday, Nov. 15, CMT's Katie Cook and Lance Smith will host a 90-minute live 2005 CMA RED CARPET special, presented by Chevrolet. Ongoing series, including CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER, will also host CMA-themed specials from New York surrounding the awards premiere. Complete programming descriptions are attached.

Nashville-based CMT has already ramped up its presence throughout the streets of New York with the placement of a 35 x 53 feet billboard spectacular in the heart of Times Square, along with banners and signage throughout the city. The one-of-a-kind creative is a product of artist Linda Zacks, who has also been noted for her work with Target, eBay, Spike TV and most recently, the New Yorker Magazine. In addition, the network secured both national and regional print and broadcast ads scheduled to appear the week of the CMA Awards.

CMT.com, America's No. 1 country music Web site, will provide comprehensive coverage throughout the "CMA Awards" festivities. CMT.com is home to a comprehensive micro-site featuring up-to-the-minute news, CMT program guides, photo galleries, sweepstakes, interactive games and Radio CMA, a Web broadcast featuring music by current nominees and past winners.

CMT Radio Network will provide daily news updates and backstage coverage for over 130 active stations, as well as live reports for 30 markets nationwide. In addition, CMT Radio Network will broadcast an hour-long special from broadcasting partner Westwood One's Times Square studio with the multi- platinum duo Big & Rich, for their much-anticipated second album "Comin' To Your City," on Monday, Nov. 14. Big & Rich will take calls from listeners and answer questions submitted to CMT.com.

CMT INSIDER: NOMINEE REPORT - CMT INSIDER, hosted by Katie Cook, travels to New York for an in-depth look at this year's CMA Awards categories and nominees. Faith Hill talks with CMT about the show's move to the "Big Apple" and the new energy it brings. In addition, CMT INSIDER catches up with Kenny Chesney to talk about his 2004 Entertainer of the Year win. (Premieres Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1:30-2:00 PM.)

KENNY CHESNEY'S TOP 10 COUNTDOWN - Reigning Entertainer of the Year Kenny Chesney stops by the CMT studio for a 90-minute special KENNY CHESNEY'S TOP 10 COUNTDOWN. Chesney relives ten of his biggest videos and shares the stories behind them. In addition, he answers viewer questions submitted to CMT.com. (Premieres Saturday, Nov. 12 at 9:00-10:30 PM.)
