Las Vegas/Nashville (Paulette Carlson Official Website) – Paulette Carlson, the founding lead singer of CMA and ACM Award winning 'Group of the Year' Highway 101, will entertain an estimated crowd of 150,000 at Aviation Nation, the Nellis Air Force Base Las
Vegas Air Show, on November 12-13. She will be one of the featured entertainers when the U.S. Air Force and Las Vegas, along with the USO, present Operation Welcome Home, a national tribute, thank you and welcome for our Vietnam Veterans.
Inspired by her late brother, who was a medic and fought in the Vietnam War with the 82nd Airborne and 173rd Airborne; she wrote this single, "Thank You Vets." Paulette feels strongly and is committed to seeing that this song, her song for Vietnam Veterans, is heard not only by the Vietnam veterans who inspired it, but also heard by their families and this country.
You may be familiar with Paulette Carlson through some of her music with a group she started years ago called Highway 101. Some of her hits were "Whiskey If You Were A Woman", "The Bed You Made For Me", "Somewhere Tonight", "Cry, Cry, Cry", and "Just Say Yes" to name just a few.
Paulette's new country CD "It's About Time" helps to boost the awareness of patriotism in our wonderful country. This music supports and gives credit to the men and women who are serving and have served in the Armed Forces.
Through her CD, Paulette's goal is to make sure ALL veterans feel appreciated and their family and friends have the opportunity to hear this CD.
It is her hope that all Vietnam Veterans will call their local radio stations on and before Veterans Day, November 11 and ask for their song.
