The CD collection has achieved Gold status based on the fact that the package contains three discs and the RIAA counts each disc towards certification on units shipped.

The Possum himself is dubious about the honor: "I never heard of counting each disc towards Gold but they tell me this is how all the newer artists seem to have sales of 20 or 30 million in what I consider relatively short careers. This new math could change the course of my own career!" Jones might also be reluctant to claim that Gold as he promised new cars for everyone at his label if the package achieved that distinction!

Jones has just released the first project in his 51st year as a recording artist with HITS I MISSED…AND ONE I DIDN'T on Bandit Records. Jones, now 74, is one of the most acclaimed artists in music history and continues to "awe" his listeners.
