WASHINGTON, DC (USO Network) - Top country music group Lonestar will perform a USO show for troops stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Miss., Nov. 4. This special performance is open only to military personnel and their families. For the sixth consecutive year, the band is nominated for the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year. This year's award will be handed out during the awards ceremony Nov. 15 on CBS. Home of the 81st Training Wing, Keesler Air Force Base is a major player in Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Lonestar volunteered to perform the USO show after learning the base's annual air show was cancelled due to the devastating storm.

Originally from Texas, members of Lonestar include lead vocalist Richie McDonald, keyboardist Dean Sams, drummer Keech Rainwater and guitarist Michael Britt. The band recently released their eighth studio album titled "Coming Home." Their latest single, "You're Like Comin' Home," marks the band's 17th Top 10 Billboard hit, and the video is in heavy rotation on both Country Music Television and Great American Country.

Known for their electrifying live performances, Lonestar has earned 10 No 1 hits, including "Mr. Mom," "What About Now," "Amazed" and "No News." Selling more than 10 million records, they have received Vocal Group of the Year honors from the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and six Grammy nominations.

Strong supporters of the military, Lonestar performed a concert during New York City's Fleet Week for troops and their families aboard The Intrepid in May 2003. One of their biggest hits, "I'm Already There," serves as an unofficial anthem to military families separated by deployment.

For nearly 65 years, the USO (United Service Organizations) has been providing morale, welfare and recreational services to U.S. military personnel and their families. The USO is a nonprofit, charitable organization, relying on the generosity of the American people to support its programs and services.
The USO is supported by World Partners, AT&T Corporation, Avon Products, Inc., BAE SYSTEMS, Bass Pro Shops, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Clear Channel Communications, The Coca-Cola Company, Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., Lockheed Martin Corporation, Military Channel, National Football League, S&K Sales Company and TriWest Healthcare Alliance.
Other corporate donors, including Walgreens and the United Way and Combined Federal Campaign (CFC-0600), have joined thousands of individual donors to support the USO. For more information on the USO, please visit our Web site at https://www.uso.org.
