Nashville, TN. (Martina McBride Official Website) - With the release of Timeless, the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and CMA nominee
Martina McBride will be setting her alarm clock all week for a series of early morning appearances.
Launch day began at 6:00 AM with over four hours of country radio station interviews set up from Blackbird Studios where the album was recorded. At noon, Martina boarded a plane for her native state of Kansas where she performed 'Love's Gonna Live Here,' and 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow,' in front of Wichita residents, family and friends for an upcoming episode of ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
On Wednesday, a TV satellite tour from the stage of the Grand Ole Opry ushered in another 6:00 AM call time (not including time to 'glam up' for the broadcasts). After nearly 20 interviews with some of the top news shows in the country, Martina found time to pack and board her bus for the trip to the 'Big Apple.'
Once in New York City, it's another 5:30 AM wake up call on Friday when NBC's The Today Show will welcome Martina to the plaza at 30 Rockefeller for their special outdoor concert series. Martina will then perform several songs for A& E's highly acclaimed 'Breakfast With The Arts' and will visit with MSNBC's 'Hot List,' CNN's Headline News 'Showbiz Tonight' and Fox News' 'Hannity & Colmes.'
Back home the following day (busing through the night), Martina will switch from early mornings to late nights when she spends a very special evening at the Grand Ole Opry. This Saturday, Martina will take the stage for an unprecedented one hour performance of songs from her newly released album Timeless. People Magazine said the phenomenal Martina McBride's one hour Opry performance shouldn't be missed. It will broadcast live on television network G-A-C: Great American Country at 8 p.m. Eastern / 7 p.m. Central.
Martina's television appearances follow an impressive list of 4-star reviews and print features including People Magazine, USA Today, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, The Associated Press and countless major market publications. She will be featured 'at home' with In-Style Magazine in November and in USA Weekend on November 13th.
Martina McBride's powerhouse voice has earned her more than 15 million in album sales, garnered six No.1 hits, twenty Top 10 singles and a mantle of honors, including a record tying four CMA Female Vocalist of the Year trophies. Her fiery, passionate vocals have created such signature hits as 'Independence Day,' 'Wild Angels,' 'A Broken Wing,' 'Blessed' and 'This One's for the Girls.' These songs along with hits such as "Concrete Angel," "Love's The Only House" and 'God's Will' have become not only memorable musical statements, but resounding social commentaries as well. This week, the multi-platinum country star releases her 8th studio album, Timeless, an album unlike any she has ever recorded. Timeless celebrates her place in a genre she holds dear while reminiscing and paying homage to the songs and artists where this Kansas native's journey began. This is an entire album dedicated to some of the most revered country classics of our time covering hits by Eddy Arnold, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette and others.
