 NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Tootsie Records) - Tootsie's recording artist John Stone, who performed this past weekend at Fort Riley's Open House and Apple Day Festival Open Air Concert at Cavalry Parade Field, Fort Riley, Kansas, was officially decorated by its militants. Stone, a Desert Storm Veteran who served 8 years as a Gunner on an M-1 Tank attached to 2/152 Armor Division was recognized by Col. Tye Smith, Installation Garrison Commander at Ft. Riley for his participation in the event in support of the troops and their families. Stone was presented a framed sketch of the Old Bill Trooper Monument along with an MWR (Morale, Welfare & Recreation) coin as a token of appreciation. In addition to this weekend's show at the base, John Stone has also performed at various troop homecomings including a Troop Salute homecoming in Lakeland, FL and in Hamilton, AL for military coming home from Iraq.
