
Nashville, TN. - The
Music City Jam, held on Wednesday evening,
September 28, at the Expo Center on
Music Valley Drive for the benefit of the victims of Hurricane Katrina brought folks young and old, from near and far, out to enjoy an evening of fun.
Artists and celebrities joined together to offer the best entertainment for the buck. Celebrity talents collaborated to act as hosts of the event: Steve Gill of SuperTalk 99.7 WTN-Nashville, Joe on the Go, from News 2, Storme Warrne (host of GAC's Country Music Across America) and Ben 'Cooter' Jones from the Dukes of Hazzard television series.
Artists who offered their time and talents in support of this supreme community effort included Jared Ashley, BrittonJack, Bo Billy, Scott Collier, Cowboy Crush, Amy Dalley. Todd Fritsch, Hilljack, Lucas Hodge, Daniel Lee Martin, Lila MCann, Mel McDaniel, Ronnie McDowell, Shane Owens, Kevin Sharp, John Stone, Jay Teter. Brittany Wells and Chance of Muzik Mafia.
The Music City Jam was organized by local businesses (Bill Heard Chevrolet of Nashville, Copley Instruments, Music City News, Magazine, Music City Motorplex, Theatrical Lighting Systems, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge/Tootsie's Records and WSM-AM Nashville) for the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief Center. The Music City Jam raised nearly $5,000. All proceeds raised from The Music City Jam will benefit the Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief Center.
