LeAnn Rimes was nominated for an American Music Award in the category of Favorite Female Country Artist it was announced today at a press conference in Los Angeles. Winners will be announced on the American Music Awards three hour broadcast on November 22nd on ABC-TV network.

The past l2 months has been huge for LeAnn, with her hosting of Nashville Star, the release of her THIS WOMAN album, which has spawned the Top 5 hit Nothin Bout Love Makes Sense, and Probably Wouldnt Be This Way, which is No 9 and climbing (up more than 500 spins in the past two weeks). THIS WOMAN was certified Gold by the RIAA last week. LeAnn also continued in her roll as the Voice of the Childrens Miracle Network and a spokesperson for the Treat Eczema Now Campaign.

In the past 12 months, LeAnn has also appeared on the cover of Country Weekly, Country Music Magazine and in the pages of Time for Kids, People, Womens Day, In Style, US, and lots more. She recorded the theme song for Disneylands 50th Anniversary , has performed twice in the last month on Larry King Live, numerous times on CMT Insider, Tonight Show, Regis & Kelly, The Today Show, Dr; Phil, Tavis Smiley, Nickelodeon, Jimmy Kimmel, and much more. She will be on Animal Planets Trail Mix in January; hosted by Linda Eder, visiting the Texas ranch where she first learned to ride, and on A&Es Women In Country special.
