Nashville, TN - Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet raised a cool $2000 for the charitable organization Special Spaces when they were auctioned off at the organization's fund raiser in Knoxville recently. The same woman bought the two bachelors, and will be joining them for a special lunch in Nashville within the coming weeks. Auctioning off the guys at the event was, of course, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Roads idea. 'It was really a last minute thing,' Little Big Town's Fairchild explained. 'We were performing for the event, and when we saw there was an auction going on, we thought, 'why not?' Jimi and Philip agreed, since it was raising money for a really good cause. They ended up getting the highest bid all night of anyone else!' Special Spaces builds dream rooms for terminally ill children. Little Big Town has pledged to build a room themselves, and has lined up members of their label to help them build the room for a teenager in Nashville. 'This is such a special organization, and what they do is so very important to the child who gets the room,' Little Big Town's Roads said. Little Big Town will release their debut CD for Equity on October 4, 2005. Titled The Road To Here, the CD features the group's hit, 'Boondocks.'
