NASHVILLE, TN. (Arista Nashville) - Arista Nashville supergroup Diamond Rio has long been known for delivering compelling music, a fact that has made them one of country music's most successful and enduring groups, honored just this week with a record-setting 15th consecutive Country Music Association award nomination for Vocal Group of the Year. And having recorded such powerful tracks as 'One More Day,' 'I Believe,' and 'You're Gone,' Rio's latest song and video, 'In God We Still Trust,' has touched a nerve with listeners, drawing standing ovations in concert and being featured this weekend in special services across the country in honor of America's soldiers and their families.

Nearly 150 churches in at least 17 states from New York to Hawaii will be incorporating the video for 'In God We Still Trust' into these special services honoring the military.
Over the course of 22 Top 10 hits, including nine No1 singles, 'In God We Still Trust' marks the first time that Diamond Rio has decided to make such an unusually personal statement with their music, delivering a message that is both inspiring and patriotic.

The positive attention being brought to the new song has been all the more rewarding for the band, as lead singer Marty Roe remarked about their decision to record the track, 'You know, when I first heard 'In God We Still Trust,' I'll be honest with you – I didn't know that it fit what we were trying to do, you know, in our music right now. And by the time I got to the chorus, I found myself going, 'Yeah! Dang straight!' It just seemed like, 'Man! How can we not do this song?' And then we put it in our live concerts, and it's just – it's unbelievable the response that we get.'

The band had further reason to celebrate this week, as they became the only group in country music history to earn 15 consecutive nominations as CMA Vocal Group of the Year, prompting Rio's Brian Prout to comment, 'The old cliché is to say that it is an honor just to be nominated, but after 15 consecutive nominations in this category, we are truly honored. We are blessed to have had this longevity in this industry that we love being a part of.'
