NASHVILEL, TN. (Open Road Recordings) - Open Road Recordings artist and two-time Canadian Country Music Award Male Vocalist Of The Year recipient Jason McCoy will release his Greatest Hits October 18.

Greatest Hits: 1995-2005 culls from Jason's four albums: 1995's Jason McCoy, 1997's Playin' For Keeps (certified Gold in Canada), 2000's Honky Tonk Sonatas and 2003's Sins, Lies & Angels. Old favourites such as 'Born Again in Dixieland' and 'This Used To Be Our Town' and new classics like 'Kind Of Like Love' and 'I Feel A Sin Comin' On' fit alongside new song 'I'm Not Running Anymore' recorded in Nashville this year. The first single from the collection, 'She Ain't Missing, Missin' Me,' will be released to radio later this month.

In 2005 fans have become acquainted with a new side of Jason McCoy, that of Road Hammer. Jason's band The Road Hammers stormed onto the Country music scene with a documentary style reality series on CMT Canada about the forming of the band and the making of the album in early spring. Since that time their self-titled album debuted at number one on the Canadian Country sales charts (and has remained in the top 10 ever since), anthemic first single 'I'm A Road Hammer' hit the top five at Country radio and the band was honoured with six CCMA nominations including Album Of The Year.

Before heading out on a 30 plus date tour with The Road Hammers in October Jason will celebrate the release of his Greatest Hits with a performance at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, September 30. It will be his first performance in the revered concert hall.

In the meantime fans can tune into the CCMAs on Monday, September 12 at 8pm EST on CBC to root for Jason who is nominated for Male Vocalist Of The Year and Kraft Cheez Whiz Fans Choice Award. Jason will also be performing on the nationally televised award show with the Hammers.

Open Road Recordings, 2004 CCMA Independent Label of Year, is also home to CCMA Group of the Year Doc Walker, Johnny Reid and The Wilkinsons. Open Road Recordings is part of the MapleCore Ltd. family, a company that works with Canadian artists and businesses to create new opportunities through the effective application of technology. Open Road Recordings, distributed by Universal Music Group, represents MapleCore's strong commitment to showcasing Canadian talent around the world.
