NASHVILLE, TN. (SONY BMG Music/ www.montgomerygentry.com) - Montgomery Gentry, the mega-selling country duo, always eager to present something unique to their fans, introduce The UNDERGROUND (www.montgomerygentry.com) – a behind-the-scenes, uncut & raw take on life on and off the road.
The exclusive members-only fan club provides the diehard legions of Montgomery Gentry faithful an unprecedented all-access pass to the real personalities in the MG world – from Troy and Eddie to the seven talented individuals knows as The Wild Bunch. Even the crew gets in on the act.
What really makes the UNDERGROUND different from other fan clubs – besides the revealing film clips, fun contests and candid photos - is the fact that the band itself is creating all the content and communicating directly to its online fans, without a filter, in (almost) real time.
"Everybody gets backstage access when they join the MG Underground,' explains Eddie Montgomery. 'Our fans know what we do onstage, now they can see what we do offstage. It's real, it's raw, and it's delivered straight to your computer and updated every week.'
The two most original features of the UNDERGROUND are the 'Shots From Below' (the photos) and 'Notes From Below' (the film clips). 'Shots From Below' takes fans on a tour of photos by MG production manager Jeff Greeninger, who also provides running commentary. 'Notes From Below,' meanwhile, features a mixture of behind the scenes footage of rehearsals and soundchecks, plus hilarious and rather ingenious skits.
Keyboardist, Eddie K. is quick to point out that some of the clips are 'rated UNDERGROUND,' with 'no holds barred' and a few 'big boy words.' This is more than fitting for any band sponsored, as Montgomery Gentry is, by Jim Beam.
'So c'mon, dig in,' says Troy Gentry, '...and if you're scared, say you're scared."
