NEW YORK (Universal Classics Group) - Platinum-selling, classical-crossover artist Russell Watson is back with a new album, Amore Musica, out September 13, 2005 on Decca. "Watson's voice soars again on 'Musica'," hails Billboard about Amore Musica, Russell's fourth release.

Fresh off a sell-out world tour (with stops in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand) celebrating the new album, Russell will give a special performance on October 6, 2005 at the Nokia Theatre Times Square, the brand new, state-of-the-art concert venue opening this September in New York City.
Tickets are now on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets.

In the coming weeks, fans can catch Russell performing songs from Amore Musica on CBS Early Show, CNN's Larry King Live, and the Fox News Channel. In addition, Venice Magazine will host an exclusive, private party in Los Angeles, welcoming Russell back to the States, before he heads to New York City for his Nokia Theatre performance.

It is fitting that Russell will be among the first to perform in the new venue, as his career has been full of firsts. Russell was the first male English performer to hold the number one slot on both British and American classical charts. Selling over 3 million albums worldwide, Russell also holds the Guinness World Record for longest standing number one album in any chart, with 52 weeks spent at number one. Russell's music has even made it into space: his "Faith of the Heart" was one of the songs chosen by the astronauts aboard the 2005 Space Shuttle Discovery as a wake-up song.

Russell Watson was recently inducted into the prestigious UK Music Hall of Fame as one of the top 50 best selling artists of the last decade. Other recent accomplishments include being tapped by Prince Charles himself to become an Ambassador for HRH's Prince's Trust, a post Russell was appointed to after he personally performed for Prince Charles and Camilla at Windsor Castle. Russell has sung for the Pope, the Queen of England, the President of the United States, and legions of fans around the world.
