NASHVILLE, TN. (Webster PR) - Crystal Gayle, the first female country artist to achieve platinum status with hits such as 'Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue' and 'Cry,' was one of five people honored by the Indiana Historical Society last week with the Living Legend Award. The black tie dinner took place at the Indiana History Center in Indianapolis.

The society honors several Hoosiers for their contribution to the state and society every year. The honorees accompanying Crystal Gayle included Henry Bundles, Jr., Christal DeHaan, Dr. Harvey Felngenbaum, and Lee Hamilton.

'What a thrill! I am truly honored to be selected along with some of Indiana's finest,' says Crystal. 'After the event, my husband Bill and I attended our 35th Class Reunion from Wabash High School.'

Crystal Gayle's latest album All My Tomorrows has received raves reviews from People Magazine to Country Weekly and beyond. Gayle most recently appeared on The Daily Buzz national morning show, A&E History of Woman in Country Music, Fox Magazine, and Good Day Live.
