NEW YORK (deSoL Official Website) - Responding to overwhelming reaction at Triple A radio, deSoL has scheduled a series of CD Release Parties around the country to celebrate the July 26 street date of its self-titled Curb Records debut CD and has greatly expanded its summer U.S. tour plans.

As of this week, KARMA, the first single from deSoL, is nipping at the Top 10 on Radio & Records' Triple A format chart at No. 11 with a bullet, and is clocking in as the "Greatest Gainer" on Billboard's Triple A Monitor. Last week, the smooth, surging track for the first time gathered the most increased spins (57) of ANY other charting artist –13 ahead of runner-up U2! – and was No 2 Most Added at Triple A the previous week.

With so much to celebrate, deSoL, the Asbury Park, NJ "rock band with a Latin soul," will be hosting CD Release Parties in Atlantic City (July 15, House of Blues); Asbury Park, NJ (July 16, Stone Pony); Los Angeles (July 21, Viper Room), New York (July 28, Mercury Lounge), Philadelphia (July 29, North Star) and Boston (Aug. 4, Copley Square) during an expanded summer U.S. tour highlighted by festival appearances at Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
Many of the newly added shows are in markets where KARMA is being added at radio, so far including Denver (KBCO); Nashville (WRLT); San Francisco (KFOG); San Diego (KPRI); Boston (WBOS); Portland, ME (WCLZ); Reno, NV (KTHX), Indianapolis (WTTS); and Steamboat Springs, CO (KFMU).

Nashville's All The Rage said KARMA "sounds like what continued Santana/Rob Thomas collaborations might have sounded like in a full-time context: Chiming and crunchy guitars, smooth vocals and lyrics and a relentlessly danceable rhythm." The Stowe (VT) Reporter raved that KARMA's "changy guitars and organ will demand your attention. But it's singer Albie Monterrosa's voice that transcends everything else on this track. He's a raspy, yet lovely, singer. This is a 'cannot miss' show." Simply put, Chicago's Star Newspapers declared, "deSoL has the hooks and sound to capture the airwaves this summer."

KARMA was shipped to radio in the wake of deSoL's "buzz-worthy" (Los Angeles Times) SXSW debut to a packed showcase at Austin, TX's world class music conference, followed by a rousing six-week nationwide spring tour with the Wailers. This very special band of seven "brothers" with inherent global appeal has been jolting the nation's stages with a vibrant and colorful live show - an infectious, "danceably sweaty" display which forces audience members out of their seats - that has been pivotal in seeing deSoL earn added notice in The New York Times, Boston Globe, New York Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
High profile TV and radio performances include New York's CBS 2 This Morning, Boston's Fox 25 Morning News, Detroit's Fox 2 News Morning, Philadelphia's NBC 10 10! show, CN8's syndicated Your Morning and World Café with David Dye.
