LOS ANGELES (Capitol Records) - Grammy award winner Shelby Lynne will kick off a national tour on July 6th in support of her ninth album, Suit Yourself. Although Lynne will headline most dates, she'll also open select shows for Los Lonely Boys, Chris Isaak and Jonny Lang this summer. Lynne performed "Go With It," the first single, on NBC's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on the eve of the album's release and also appeared on "Tavis Smiley" in May. "Suit Yourself Live," an hour-long concert performance by Lynne, has been airing each weekend in June as a feature in DIRECTV's FREEVIEW event series along with a 15-minute film about the making of Suit Yourself. Fans can check out the short film - and four tracks from the upcoming album - at www.shelbylynne.com/sampler. In addition, Lynne's recent performance on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic" can be seen at www.kcrw.com. Lynne produced Suit Yourself, as well as its predecessor, Identity Crisis, her 2003 Capitol debut. Early reviews have been exceptional: In a four-star review, Blender pronounced Suit Yourself "the best thing she's done since winning the Grammy." "From the celebratory grooves of 'Go With It' to the impressionistic slow-cooker blues of the seven-minute-long closer 'Track 12,' Suit Yourself is organic and quietly powerful," said Interview. "Whether Lynne's singing about a broken heart on the exquisitely dreamy 'I Cry Everyday' or basking in love as comforting as 'cornbread and iced tea' on the stripped-down, shuffling 'Iced Tea,' she has never sounded more at ease in her own skin."
