NASHVILLE, TN. (www.tyengland.com) - After touring the U.S. and Europe with icon Garth Brooks, then blazing a trail across the country as a solo recording artist performing his own brand of no-nonsense, traditional country music, Ty England will embark on a USO tour to South Korea from June 27 - July 5. England and his ten-piece band will fly into Seoul to meet and perform for U.S. troops and their families, including a show on the 4th of July.

'I've wanted to do a USO tour for many years,' said England. 'To me the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces deserve the utmost respect for their willingness to serve and sacrifice. Getting to bring a little bit of home to those who are stationed in South Korea is an honor for me and my band.'
England will chronicle his travels with his digital camera and a journal, posting regular updates to his Web site: www.tyengland.com.

England, who came to national attention as Brooks' guitar-playing, harmony-singing buddy, launched a solo career in 1995 with his self-titled debut album on RCA records. The disc yielded the hits 'Should've Asked Her Faster,' 'Smoke in Her Eyes' and 'Redneck Son,' and was lauded by Entertainment Weekly with an 'A' rating as 'a remarkably poised performance, full of Oklahoma kickers, Western-flavored blues and poignant ballads.' England maintained a full touring schedule over the next four years, while he also found time to time to serve as National Spokesperson for the FFA Alumni Association in 1996.

Released in 1996, England's second CD, Two Ways to Fall, introduced fans to 'Irresistible You,' 'All Of The Above' and 'Backslider's Prayer.' In 1999 he signed with Capitol Records and released Highways and Dance Halls, which was produced by Brooks. USA Today reviewed the CD saying, 'England delivers these songs in an understated manner that makes him sound resigned to heartbreak and wary of happiness, and Garth Brooks, his college roommate, offers comfortably traditional production.'

Since re-locating to his native Oklahoma to take control over his touring schedule in order to spend more time with his family, England has become a mainstay at county fairs and festivals with his Ty England, Alive and Well tour. Named for his forthcoming CD, the tour features performances of songs from the project including 'The Cowboy,' 'Love Is Stronger' and 'Club Paradise.'
