Texas singer/songwriter and first runner up of the very first USA Networks Nashville Star.
Between June 10 – 12 john Arthur, who resides in a small ranching community near Austin, Texas, will return to Nashville to take part in the 2005 CMA Music Festival�. He has been touring almost non-stop since winning the 'Record of the Year' award for his single 'Home Made of Stone' from the Texas Music Awards in February of this year. As he prepares to return to the city that made him a household name for "Country Music's Biggest Party'™, he is also taking his career to the next level with a new manager and his debut appearance at the Grand Ole Opry.
jAm, as he is affectionately known to his fans, recently hired Glenn Kilburn of Outside the Box Management. Kilburn worked as a successful booking and event promoter for many years in the south and throughout the Midwest before relocating to Nashville in 2000. He comes to the table with extensive experience in the entertainment arena and also represents Jayron Weaver who was fourth in this year's Nashville Star.
john Arthur has reserved booth No 611 in the Wrangler® Fan Fair Exhibit Hall in the Downtown Nashville Convention Center to meet with the fans and sign autographs as often as his schedule allows. He says, 'I look forward to taking part in this event each year and the time I get to spend with my fans is one of the things that makes it all worth while and keeps me motivated.
Country music fans are the greatest fans in the world because they are like an extension of family. I'm extremely elated at the opportunity to shake hands, take pictures, and give hugs to as many members of my extended family as I possibly can."
john Arthur will arrive in Music City on Friday, June 10 just in time to attend his annual fan club party at Wolfy's Den, located in the tower of the Gaylord Entertainment Complex, and spend some quality time with his fan club members before he heads to the other side of town to act as the Master of Ceremonies for the International Fan Club Organization Shindig, Show and Party at the Ernest Tubb Texas Troubadour Theatre. In addition to his own performance, the IFCO Shindig will feature Platinum recording artist David Ball, Michael Peterson, Billy Yates, newcomers Kelly Lang, Glenn Cummings, the winners of the IFCO Center Stage Star Search and several special surprise guests. john Arthur looks forward to performing at the IFCO Shindig since it is one of the few concert events where meeting and mingling with the fans is actually part of the program.
On Saturday, June 11, john Arthur will be headlining the Opry Plaza Party and making his Grand Ole Opry debut in the same evening. The Opry Plaza Party runs from 5:30 – 10:00 p.m. on the plaza area in front of the Grand Ole Opry House and the Bell South Acuff Theatre. john Arthur will also appear on the Grand Ole Opry Stage during both the 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. shows around his ninety minute Plaza Party appearance which begins at 8:30 p.m. Contact management for complete schedule.
