NASHVILLE, TN. (R.E.A./ www.dottierambo.net) - Gospel Music Queen Dottie Rambo welcomed a surprise guest to the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree while playing host on May 28, 2005. Rambo's friend and comedy queen Lily Tomlin, accompanied by family and friends, was in attendance for her performance. Rambo welcomed Lily to the stage and persuaded her to share her most famous characters such as "Ernestine" and "Edith Ann" to the live audience both over the WSM airwaves and with those in the audience at the Troubadour Theater in Nashville, TN. As "Edith Ann," Lily serenaded the crowd with "Jesus Loves Me and That's The Truth," to the audience's delight. Lily, alongside her family and friends, joined Rambo on two numbers - "Stand By The River" (a number one, award-winning duet with Dolly Parton) and "I Go To The Rock." Rambo is a Grammy award-winning artist, and as a songwriter has written over 2,500 published songs and is known as the Queen of Gospel Music. The Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree is the second longest running radio show in the world. Lily Tomlin has recently signed on to appear in the Robert Altman film "A Prairie Home Companion" in which she will portray a character who sings country and gospel music.
