NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA Records) - With the release of his debut RCA Records Nashville album, newcomer BOBBY PINSON, one of country music's fastest-rising new stars, is about to realize a dream he's had since he was a boy growing up in Panhandle, Texas. The prolific songwriter devoured the works of children's poet Shel Silverstein while performing in storytelling competitions in his small hometown. Bobby's love of words paid off, as he wrote all of the songs on Man Like Me, and produced the 11 song collection as well. Bobby's fresh sound garnered him a profile in USA Today shortly after his debut single, 'Don't Ask Me How I Know,' hit the airwaves, and now he has another prestigious national publication singing his praises: Entertainment Weekly. It calls the eloquent wordsmith 'the most promising new male country artist' and recommends 'Don't Ask Me How I Know' to rekindle a love of country music. Countryreview.com declares Man Like Me to be 'one of the best debut albums from a country artist since Steve Earle's monumental Guitar Town (MCA) album in 1986, (and) definitely in the running for the top spot on (my) year end list.' No stranger to the road after opening shows for the likes of Merle Haggard, Brooks & Dunn, and Hank Williams, Jr., Bobby will launch his album with concerts, radio and TV appearances, interviews and album signings in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, Tampa, and other cities. The U.S. Army veteran will also be visiting two of the country's largest bases in his travels in the next couple of weeks: Fort Hood, Texas and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. 'Don't Ask Me How I Know,' one of the fastest-rising singles by a new country artist since Gretchen Wilson debuted last year, holds the No 21 position on R&R and No 24 on Billboard.
