NASHVILLE, TN. (SONY BMG) - Sony Music Nashville President John Grady proudly announces the signing of singer/songwriter Brice Long to the Columbia Nashville label. Brice releases his self-titled debut album later this year.

Working with the first-time pairing of producers Mark Wright (Gretchen Wilson) and Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson), Brice wrote or co-wrote eight of the songs on his debut release. His first single, 'It's Only Monday,' will hit the airwaves June 6.
'Brice is the perfect combination of bluegrass soul and country gentleman,' says album co-producer and Sony Nashville Executive VP A&R Mark Wright. 'He's one of the best new male singer/songwriters to hit Nashville in the last few years.'

A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky – just a little over an hour north of Nashville – Brice worked with horses and cattle on his family's farm. He toyed with the idea of hitting the rodeo circuit as a team roper, but his father urged him to focus on his music. Brice took the advice to heart. He spent the next few years singing, writing and performing including opening for several major country artists. He moved to Nashville in 1993, obtained a degree from Middle Tennessee State University and signed his first writer deal in 1996.
Brice Long is managed by Scott Siman at RPM Management.
