NEW YORK (Sara Nunes/Rubato Music/ www.saranunes.com) - So you're looking for some new, juicy content, right? What's more timely right now than a hot young woman from Finland turning the tables on Simon from "American Idol?" Oh you guessed it my friend, NOTHING! Finnish pop sensation Sara Nunes judges Simon Cowell on her debut single "Simon Can't Sing." The track is the lead single on her forthcoming CD "How 2 Rule Da World in 12 EZ Lessons" which comes out on Rubato/EMI overseas this summer but has no U.S. distribution deal at this moment. " Simon Can't Sing" is available exclusively on iTunes. With MTV.com and RollingStone.com running feature news stories early this week, it's apparent that the U.S. media is ready to embrace Sara Nunes. With the fourth season of "American Idol" coming to a close, the timing couldn't be better. Who is Sara? What makes her so special? What does she have to say? Well, on all accounts, plenty. But first the facts: Sara is 23 and she lives in Helsinki, Finland. She's lived all over the globe. She was born in Helsinki to a Finnish Mother and a Portuguese Dad; she lived in Sweden her first 9 years, then lived in Africa for 3 years and then moved to Helsinki. By necessity, she had to speak 4 languages with native fluency: English, Swedish, Portuguese and of course, Finnish. Sara got her start in the music biz at age 16, when she fronted the marginally successful band, Sinamour. Sinamour was one of the first Finnish bad to ever get video play on MTV Nordic. "How 2 Rule Da World in 12 EZ Lessons" is Sara's debut solo record. It's a no holds barred, funny, sarcastic and completely refreshing album stuck in the middle of mediocre artists bickering about the merits of file sharing. With songs like "Message 2 the Industry," "Starf****r," "Britney's Still a Virgin" and the first single "Simon Can't Sing" at least one can rest assured it won't be boring.
