NASHVILLE, TN. (Big Al Downing PR) - Big Al Downing, best known for his hits, "Mr. Jones" and "Touch Me," will make a Music City sweep May 6 & 7, appearing on XM Satellite In Studio, the Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame's Songwriter Sessions. "Nashville's a great town," says the big- voiced Downing. "I'm really excited to be coming back, and I'm honored to be making these special appearances."

Downing released the critically-acclaimed ONE OF A KIND in 2003 and a new CD is in the works for early 2006. He still tours over 75 key dates per year and recently performed at Ontario's prestigious Havelock Country Jamboree with Kenny Rogers and Roy Clark. His music, a soul-based, "true" country sound, has won this veteran songwriter, musician and performer fans the world over.
A recipient of Billboard's New Artist of the Year and Single of the Year in 1979, his lengthy career is a testament to his many talents. Now, the Big Man with the Big Voice is bringing his talents back to Music City.
