LOS ANGELES (www.mee-j.com) - Celebrate 4th Annual Jazz Appreciation Month with Art Exhibition-Jazz Jam to Bneefit KCSM-FM 91 Radio
"Rockey and His Friends" with MARCIA Mig�t TO PERFORM

The Third Art-Jazz-Jam to celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month will be at the Adeline Artists' Lofts 1131 24th Street (Oakland, CA) Saturday April 30 2005 from 5:30 to 7 pm.
Presented by Berkeley graduate and past owner of the Scarab Club, Rockey Jones, the event will feature an exhibition of famous jazz musician photographs culled from his 30-year body-of-work. The digital prints will include the likes of Elvin Jones, Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, Joseph Zaiwinul, and McCoy Tyner.
A 'shooter' since 1970 and member of the Motion Still Photographers' Union Mr. Jones is known for his colorful abstract images. "I believe these photographic prints capture the essence of the musicians' energy.", says Rockey. "It's my pleasure to share 10% of all work sold to KCSM-91 FM to support the Spirit of Jazz and the Arts."
Gallery opens at 4 pm with the first musical set at 5:30 pm with the second set to begin at 7 pm . A $5 donation per set will go to the musicians as an Honorarioum .Food and libations will be provided.
Among the musicians Bay Area musicians invited are Daryl Ocea, keys, Tim Merritt and Leon Williams, tenor, Clarence 'Pook' Jenkins, bass, Teddy 'Osito' Strong, conga, Yancey Taylor, vibraphonist, Calvin Keys guitar, and Special Guest, Marcia Mig�t flute and soprano saxophone.
