NASHVILLE, TN. (www.johnconlee.com) - Country music legend John Conlee has been added to the FRC Action's 'Justice Sunday - Stopping the Filibuster Against People of Faith,' a live nationwide simulcast event that will be held at Highview Baptist Church in Louisville, KY on Sunday, April 24 at 7 PM ET. FRC Action President Tony Perkins explains why 'Justice Sunday' is so important to America's future. 'Our goal is to reach as many people as possible and to engage values voters in the all-important issue of reining in our out-of-control courts and putting a halt to the use of filibusters against people of faith. For years activist courts, aided by liberal interest groups like the ACLU, have been quietly working under the veil of the judiciary, like thieves in the night, to rob us of our Christian heritage and our religious freedoms. Federal judges have systematically grabbed power, usurping the constitutional authority that resides in the other two branches of government and, ultimately, in the American people.' Musical entertainment will be provided by John Conlee during the simulcast and he is scheduled to close the event with a performance of his current single, 'They Also Serve,' a tribute to the family and friends of U-S Troops. 'They Also Serve' appears on Conlee's current in-studio effort and first-ever gospel album Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus. Conlee joins a line-up of prominent figures for the event, including FRC Action President Tony Perkins; Dr. James Dobson, Founder and Chairman of Focus on the Family Action; Dr. Al Mohler, head of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; and Chuck Colson of Prison Fellowship Ministries. Proud to be included in this historic gathering, Conlee adds, 'I am pleased to be a small part of an event which hopes to educate people of faith and others in our country, about the importance of a judiciary which upholds the constitution instead of legislating from the bench. I think it's another key part of the battle to strengthen the family in America!'
