NASHVILLE, TN. (Windswept/Quarterback Records) - Fanny Grace a.k.a. Carmen Mejia and Paul Reeves have been invited to perform and answer questions for the 'Business of Music' class at the Blair School of Music (Vanderbilt University) on Wednesday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. Music industry veteran and Country Music Hall of Famer Jim Foglesong a.k.a. Professor Foglesong, teaches the class which encompasses every aspect of the music industry including publishing, promotion and songwriting. Foglesong started his career as a singer and performer and rose to the top of the field by becoming the first President of a major label in Nashville. Paul Reeves grew up in war torn Belfast, Northern Ireland where life was a mixture of gunfire and his father's sweet singing voice. After fleeing for New York City where, inspired by his father's efforts as a part time musician, the younger Reeves taught himself guitar at age 11 and formed a band. Carmen Mejia grew up a model student in San Fernando and was naturally drawn to music and performing. A serious car accident after high school laid Carmen up for two months with plenty of time to think. 'I realize this life thing could be over real quick, so I might as well do something I enjoy.' But it was a chance meeting with recent L.A. transplant Reeves that turned her toward music. Fanny Grace has just released their new single 'Sweet Tea & Cadillac's' and their album 321 Broadway will be released in June on Windswept/Quarterback Records.
