New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Formed from the remaining members of Alcopop! Records perennial favourites Jumping Ships, Brighton/London-based alt rock quartet Quiet Lions are proud to announce their signing to Lonely Voyage Records (Poly-Math / Lost In The Riots).

The band have just completed work on their debut album, and are pleased to announce that Absenteeism will be released on 14th June 2019.

Directed by Dave Neale (Wild Stag Studio), the cinematic visuals are the perfect accompaniment to the single, of which front man Michael Williams says: "'Echo Chamber' loosely touches on the influence digital media had on the Vote Leave and Trump presidential campaigns, with the central character also re-appearing in some of our other songs as someone who is willing to put personal gain ahead of everything."

Recorded at Brighton Electric and Small Pond Studios with Mark Roberts (Delta Sleep, Toska), the overriding theme that threads through Absenteeism is dissociation, with particular focus on the role of social media and a loss of self—something that front man Michael Williams holds close to his heart through his difficult relationship with professional experiences away from band life.

To date, Quiet Lions have released two EPs (2013's Surroundings and 2015's No Illusions) and two standalone singles (2016's 'All That I Had' and 2017's 'Stronger Than Before'). The band have slowly but surely been taking larger and larger strides out of the shadows, securing key live shows with Rival Schools, Black Peaks, Fatherson, Lonely The Brave, Press To Meco and Big Spring.

The quartet have spent the past few years precision-crafting their songwriting and live show to an extremely high standard, securing previous media praise from BBC Radio One, Kerrang! Magazine, Rock Sound, Punktastic, Already Heard and many more.

Absenteeism is released 14th June 2019 on Lonely Voyage Records
