NASHVILLE, TN. (RCA) - RCA newcomer BOBBY PINSON has a message, but it's not coming from a soapbox. The panhandle Texan just wants to drop a few hints about lessons he's learned in his own life, along with those he's seen learned by others. The prolific songwriter has been honing his craft since he was in grade school and come May 17, Bobby will release his debut RCA album Man Like Me. The album's first single, 'Don't Ask Me How I Know' is speeding up the country charts and listeners are calling their local stations requesting the song by quoting a memorable line in the chorus: 'Don't drink the water in Mexico.' In addition to the excitement of sharing his music with country fans, Bobby's got a few other things to be happy about these days. The Shel Silverstein devotee just got word that he's headed out on the road to open dates for the upcoming Brooks and Dunn tour. The shows, which include dates in the northeast, midwest, and southeast, kick off April 6 and continue into May. 'Who'd have thought back in the days when I was playing for beer and covering ‘Brand New Man' and ‘Hard Workin' Man' that I'd actually get to open up for Brooks & Dunn,' exclaimed Pinson. 'Wow!' 'Don't Ask Me How I Know,' one of the fastest rising singles by a new artist, is at No 28 on both the Billboard and R&R country charts.
