Dear Boy To Release "The Strawberry" EP On March 1, 2019
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Los Angeles-based band Dear Boy will release The Strawberry EP on March 1 via the band's own label Easy Hell and Burnside/The Orchard. Today the band share "Semester," the first new single from the EP wth Flood Magazine (pre-order). The song, which will be available on all digital streaming services on January 18, is best described by vocalist and guitarist Ben Grey; "Most of us have whole periods of our lives that are defined by one person... And when that person leaves, returning to your normal life feels strange. Almost as if the world moved on behind your back."

Dear Boy had an immense 2018. They were hailed as one of the best bands in Los Angeles by critics and music publications, sold out multiple hometown shows, embarked on a full US tour with Rogue Wave, while also playing dates with Day Wave and Sunflower Bean. Dear Boy will performing atSXSW this spring and will announce additional shows in the coming weeks.

The four band members and real-life friends that make up Dear Boy (vocalist Ben Grey, guitarist Austin Hayman, drummer Keith Cooper, and bassist Lucy Lawrence) have made something that is deeply personal, while celebrating their city and challenging the direction of modern guitar music.

Along with a wildly devoted fan base, the band has inspired the respect of fellow artists, so it should come as no surprise that The Strawberry EP features appearances by their friends Day Wave, Hazel English and Patrick Spurgeon of Rogue Wave. Produced by Dear Boy, and mixed by Tony Hoffer(AIR, Phoenix, Beck, M83), the EP once again showcases the band's ability to craft bittersweet songs pulling from late 70's / early 80's Post-Punk and early 90's Britpop, large enough for arenas, but intimate enough to be with you during your most private moments.
